All content on Particle is protected by copyright under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and owned by Particle HSC, or licensed to us. That includes the practice questions, the marking criteria, the worked solutions, the feedback text the marker produces, the notes, the figures and diagrams, the software, and the design of the site. Particle, the Particle mark and the site design are our trade marks and get-up.

• Use the content on the site to study, for as long as you have an account.
• Write out questions and your own answers by hand in your own notes, as you would from a textbook.
• Show a short extract to a teacher, tutor or classmate when asking for help with it.

• Copy, scrape, screenshot in bulk, download or systematically record the question bank, by hand or with any automated tool, script, browser extension or AI agent.
• Republish, sell, share or distribute our questions, solutions, criteria or notes, including in a shared drive, group chat, notes site, forum or another app.
• Share your account or login with anyone. Accounts are for one person.
• Use our content to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine-learning model, or to build a competing product.
• Remove or hide any notice that identifies the content as ours, or present it as your own.

We watch for automated and bulk access. Accounts used this way are closed, any unused subscription period is forfeited (subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law), and we may take further action under the Copyright Act.

The answers you write remain your work and your copyright. You give us a licence to store, process and mark them, to show them back to you, and to use them in de-identified form to check and improve the marking. We do not publish your answers. Questions you send us through Contribute are covered by the Terms of Use.

Our questions are written by us. They follow the style, difficulty and mark allocation of real NSW HSC examinations, and our marking is checked against the way real HSC marking guidelines award marks, but they are not copies of NESA questions and we do not reproduce NESA examination papers or marking guidelines on this site.

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) owns the copyright in the NSW syllabuses and in past HSC examination papers. Syllabus dot points are referred to on Particle only to organise study and remain NESA's material. Particle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NESA.

Email particlehsc@gmail.com with your name and contact details, a description of the work you say is infringed, where on Particle the material appears, and a statement that you own the work or act for the owner. We will review the notice promptly, remove or change anything we agree should not be there, and reply to you either way.

If you see Particle content posted somewhere it should not be, please tell us at the address above. It helps, and we act on it.
