Every question, worked solution and marking guideline on Particle is original work, written by us and owned by us. This page explains what that means for you as a student, and what isn't allowed.
What we own
All content on Particle is our copyright, including the practice questions, the worked solutions, the marking criteria, the written feedback our marker produces, the Learn notes, and the design of the site itself. It took a very long time to write and it is the whole product.
What you may do
- Use the questions to study, for as long as you have an account.
- Write out questions and your own answers by hand in your own notes, as you would from any textbook.
- Quote a short extract to a teacher or tutor when you are asking for help with it.
What you may not do
- Copy, scrape, download in bulk, or systematically save the question bank, by hand or with any automated tool, script, extension or AI agent.
- Republish, sell, share or distribute our questions, solutions or marking criteria, including in a shared drive, group chat, study-notes site or another app.
- Share your account, your login details or your invite code with anyone else. Accounts are for one person.
- Use our content to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine-learning model, or to build a competing product.
- Remove or obscure any notice identifying the content as ours.
We monitor for automated and bulk access. Accounts used this way are closed without a refund, and we reserve the right to pursue the matter further.
Our questions are original
Particle’s questions are written by us. They are calibrated to the style, difficulty and mark allocation of real NSW HSC examinations, but they are not copies of NESA questions, and we do not reproduce NESA examination papers or marking guidelines on this site.
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) owns the copyright in the NSW syllabuses and in past HSC examination papers. Syllabus dot points are referenced here for the purpose of organising study, and remain NESA’s material. Particle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NESA.
If you think we've got something wrong
If you believe any content on Particle infringes your copyright, email us at particlehsc@gmail.com with a description of the material and where it appears, and we will review it promptly and remove anything that shouldn’t be there.
Reporting misuse
If you see Particle content posted somewhere it shouldn’t be, please tell us at the address above. It genuinely helps.
