Terms of Use.

Particle is a practice tool for NSW HSC Physics and Chemistry. You read exam-style questions, write your own answers, and receive an AI-generated mark, feedback and a worked solution to help you learn.

• Your account is for you alone. Keep your password private and do not share your login.
• You can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on a new device signs your account out everywhere else, so accounts cannot be shared.
• Give an email you can access, so we can verify your account and reach you if needed.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.

Particle exists to help you learn, not to help you cheat. When you use it:

• Use it to practise and understand, then to check your own working.
• Do not submit Particle's worked solutions or feedback as your own schoolwork or assessment.
• Do not use Particle during an exam, test or assessment where outside help is not allowed.

Passing off AI-assisted work as your own can breach your school's and NESA's rules. That is on you, so use Particle the right way.

Particle's marking is extremely well calibrated to NESA's HSC marking criteria and guidelines, so its marks and feedback closely reflect how the HSC is actually marked. Even so, they are generated by AI to help you practise, not an official NESA result, and can occasionally differ from a human marker. Always check important points against your syllabus, your teacher and your school's marking, and do not rely on Particle as your only source of truth.

• The questions, rubrics, worked solutions, notes and design in Particle are ours. Please do not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute them.
• The answers you write remain yours. By submitting them, you allow us to process, mark and store them so we can give you feedback and show your progress.

Particle is free to start, including a set number of AI-marked questions each day. Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks unlimited marking and more.

• Prices are shown on the Premium page (in Australian dollars) before you pay. Premium is billed monthly or yearly and renews automatically until you cancel.
• Payments are handled securely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• You can cancel anytime. Your Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that.
• If you are under 18, only subscribe with a parent or guardian's permission and their payment method.
• Refunds are handled case by case. If something went wrong, email us and we will sort it out.

We may change prices or plans in future. Any change will be shown before it applies to you, and never mid-cycle for a period you have already paid for.

Please do not:

• Try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
• Upload harmful, illegal, hateful or personal-attack content in your answers or contributions.
• Use another person's account, or pretend to be someone you are not.

We may suspend accounts that misuse Particle.

Particle is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free or always online, and it is not a substitute for your teacher or official study materials. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for marks, results or decisions made in reliance on Particle.

We may update these terms as Particle grows. We will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions? Email particlehsc@gmail.com.
